  22. Oh, come on.  Greedy?  Typical Internet blather.  Oh, you're posting
  23. from a government agency, I understand.  :-)  Must I really give my
  24. Little Red Hen speech again?  Exactly how much do you think it costs
  25. to run a business, to develop a product pretty enough and professional
  26. enough to satisfy you, to advertise, to produce that advertising, to
  27. answer the phone for pre- and post-sales?  For starters, if a product
  28. sells 1,000 units, it's rare for all of them to be sold directly.
  29. Creative Computers probably wants to buy it for $40, so :

  33. Wow, $52K a year, gross?  Greedy?  Minus the cost of the box, 
  34. disk, rent, shipping, other overhead, salaries, amortizing the cost of 
  35. the time of development, not to mention the hypothetical 12 
  36. months it might take to sell those 1,000 copies, not to 
  37. mention any investment in the company in order to survive 
  38. the *next* year?
